How To Create Avatar On Xbox One

You cancreate or edit an Xbox avatar by computer usingWindows 10. TheMicrosoft offers two distinct applications for classical and modern versions of avatars. You have both, either on yourXbox 360 console orXbox One console.

How to Create or Edit an Xbox Avatar in Windows 10

There are two official avatar applications for Windows 10: theoriginal Avatars of the Xbox, which is the publisher of theclassic avatars, compatible with Windows 10,Xbox 360 andXbox One, and theXbox Avatar Editor, aimed at creating theavatars modern, only for the Xbox One and Windows 10, that implemented a series of new options of customization, focusing on diversity and representativeness.

1. Using the Xbox Avatar Editor

Download and install theXbox Avatar Editor app for Windows 10;
Open the application, and sign in with yourMicrosoft account.
If it is the same one you use on your Xbox One, and if you have already created an avatar there, it will be the first avatars option on the list;
If you do not have an avatar, click on one of the displayed templates;
If you already have an avatar, but want to create a new one, after selecting it, clickSettings (the gear icon), and then clickCreate new avatar.
The old avatar will be erased;
In theCloset,Appearance andHumor options, you can customize the overall appearance of your avatar with its physical characteristics, including the use of prosthetics in the arms or legs, or the addition of accessories such as wheelchairs.
The customization and clothing options are free for any type of avatar, and have no gender restrictions;
Once your changes are complete, clickSave.
The app will load the modifications to the Xbox servers, and the avatar will be made available on Xbox One.

And ready.

2. Using the Original Xbox Avatars

Download and install theXbox Original Avatars app for Windows 10;
Open the application, and sign in with yourMicrosoft account.
If it is the same one that you use on your Xbox One or Xbox 360, and if you have already created an avatar there, it will be loaded;
If you do not have an avatar, click on one of the displayed templates, or use theShuffle option, and select the one you like most;
If you already have an avatar, but want to create a new one, clickSettings (the gear icon), and then clickCreate new avatar.
The old avatar will be erased;
Click theCustomize button (thepencil icon ) and access the customization settings for your avatar;
InStyle (thehanger icon), you can choose the clothes among some available;
After the changes, clickSave.
The avatar will be uploaded to the servers, and displayed on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

In both applications, such as Xbox One and Xbox 360, some customization options arepaid for, usually garments, accessories, and other items for personalization. The basic appearance customizations (gender, skin color, eyes, beard, etc.), however, arefree.

By comparison, theXbox Avatar Editor app offers much more customization options than theoriginal Xbox Avatars. But on the other hand, your creations are not compatible with Xbox 360.
